About Pahrump Chili Cook-Off
History of Pahrump Chili Cook-Off
The chili cook-off was started 12 years ago by Pahrump's own Ron Frazier (pictured left in photo). He started the cook-off with the intent to help the local community and non-profit organizations within Pahrump. Ron passed on his event to Kelli Sater, another Pahrump local who shared the same visions as Ron, back in 2019 and since then it has continued to grow in size every year! Ron and his wife Marion both passed away last year, so this year we are dedicating the cook-off in both of their honor. They loved people, they loved their community and they looooved chili!
What to Expect for 2024
This year's chili cook-off you will see all sorts of fun and entertainment going on during the event! On top of the chili tasting, this year we have a full carnival, live music from our locals as well as the Vegas Favorite, Sweet Home Alabama Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Southern Rock Show! There will be games, chili eating contests, kid drag races, a car show, vendors and so much more!!
We will also be raffling off amazing prizes, including 2 Red Hot Chili Pepper tickets! You don't want to miss out on this year's fun!
Carnival begins at noon daily!

Helping those who help others.
This year's chili cook-off we will be donating to the Nye County Cinderella Girls, and, the St. Jude's Ranch for children!
Both these organizations do so much for our youth, and we couldn't pass up an opportunity to help them in their efforts to better the lives of children and their futures!
Little Chili Pepper Grand Prix
Calling all kids aged 6 and under!! We are taking you to the races!!
Does your child have an electric car that has been sitting, collecting dust? Bring it to the park March 23rd and enter them in the
"Little Chili Pepper Grand Prix"
Even if you don't have kids, come cheer on the competitors as they race to the finish line!

Car Show
If you have a cool car or just want to look at some, come by the festival on Sunday, March 24th, to check out our super spicey car show!
You can find the registration form in the "Applications" section of our website. Spectators, don't forget to pick up your ballot at the information booth to vote for your favorite vehicle!
ATTENTION!!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the amateur cook-off on Friday night has been cancelled. We will still have fun and games going on that day, so don't let it stop you from checking out all we have in store Friday!
